So this was brought up with my FC recently, but do you ever think SE will let us know what is going on with Thancred's eye? It seems his visit to the First might of "fixed" things, but could we get some confirmation on the subject.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
It was injured, it got better, he kept the eyepatch to look cool.
Eye's physically cannot heal like that. If your eye gets lighter because of illness or injury, it'll stay the lighter color forever. While people are "stating" the patch was to look "cool" it's currently a plot hole the devs have yet to address.

I'd chalk it up to 'magic' as their excuse. That said I think the writers just generally forgot about Thancred's old HW look because he was MIA for most of Stormblood and the patches leading up to Shadowbringers. Though this isn't the only time the colors haven't matched. Taking a look over at Garland tools shows his swatches have been all over the place since ARR - and not just in a 'he got a tan then lost it' sort of way.

This was mentioned in the MSQ a long time ago, I think back in HW. Yshtola was teasing thancred about wearing it and he basically said his eye is fine and he does it to look cool.
But that's a similar situation to Y'shtola lying about her blindness slowly killing her. To be fair, we know what the color change signifies, it would just be nice if the Devs acknowledged it more. Especially, with the weird model shifts Thancred has gone through. When he returned from the First, he still should've looked like his HW/SB model not the ShB one, but that's probably a Dev oversight. Then again, I think his Trust glamour uses that model, so it's anyone's guess.

I'm pretty sure Urianger mentions having Tataru make them all clothes that look like what they were wearing on the First? In the cutscene after you woke G'raha up? I don't know, might be remembering that wrong. But that's a similar situation to Y'shtola lying about her blindness slowly killing her. Urianger has become weirdly fashion conscious since his trip to another world, he also chats about his outfit a bit when you're in Il Mheg. 'Doth mine robes look dope or what'
Feo Ul told Tataru how to make them via dream, tataru said so via the cutscene and the alliance leaders gave her some of the harder to find mats.
Tataru made the clothes on the Source based on dream visions given to her by Feo Ul. Presumably Feo Ul having delivered our message about being on the First back in 5.0 made Tataru decide to trust this dream pixie.I'm pretty sure Urianger mentions having Tataru make them all clothes that look like what they were wearing on the First? But the issue with Thancred is that he looks different if you compare his model from 4.4 (when he first falls into a coma) to 5.3 (when he wakes up). In that time period when Thancred's soul was on the First, his body on the Source has apparently gotten a haircut and shaving that chin scruff he had.
It makes no sense that it happened, but I'm glad it did.But the issue with Thancred is that he looks different if you compare his model from 4.4 (when he first falls into a coma) to 5.3 (when he wakes up).
