    Can we agree that someone undercutting by 1 gil, just to be on top, is human nature, whereas undercutting by almost half the price is very confusing. I love when people do it since it's easy to buy and relist, but I don't see how the person benefits from it.

    My theory is they're either blind-listing or really desperate to get rid of something, although even with the latter case you'd gain the same bonus by only going down 1 gil, i.e. being at the top of the list.

    The current system begs for under cutters. There's nothing you can do to stop it specially with so many items in this game. I sell a lot of stuff cheap just to make space...

    Sad thing is a lot of people hate FFXI's blind AH bidding system, well look what we have in FFXIV. I honestly prefer a blind bidding system because prices at least can stay stable.

    Not really true, I've seen undercutting lower the value of items so if anything undercutting hurts the economy morso then the individual.

    The Market Ward system is still extremely frustrating to deal with for both buyers and sellers (and that's without getting stuck while trying to call a retainer). Undercutting is a way to actually get things to move, to finally get inventory +1.
