    Undercutters

Wow some people undercut by a ton. -_-

    Ways to avoid undercutting:
Don't put more than 2 items crafted of a certain type up at a time [or 20 if it's a component]

Match someone's prices instead of undercutting them, that way they hopefully won't keep the market destruction going; especially when the demand is low in the first place.

Most of the undercutters know how to avoid it. Its just that they don't care. Selling your sh1t ASAP was always priority to most players often because of inventory space limit, even if that means that you have to lower the price. In time you will just get used to it and react to it as a natural thing... At least I did.

Undercutting is a natural part of an economy. If a seller is capable of making a profit off a lower price, why should they not sell it at that price?

It's the decided value of things.

I do that Ziar. However, what can you do when they undercut you with 4 stacks of the item you're selling? Adapt or die.

On this server economy works well... Sadly, some things are just not worth the effort to craft any more.

Well depends on how much gil you have...when I was playing a lot if people under cut me I would clear out the ward of a certain item and re-establish a new price for it

or just keep buying 1x items from stacks to have an inflated price show up in the recent transaction history to trick people into thinking it costs most lulz

Not really if you pay attention you can make a lot of money under cutting...its like shorting stocks almost

Sell yours for an undercut price...people will under cut you...buy the items back and wait for the market to rebound

Can we agree that someone undercutting by 1 gil, just to be on top, is human nature, whereas undercutting by almost half the price is very confusing. I love when people do it since it's easy to buy and relist, but I don't see how the person benefits from it.

My theory is they're either blind-listing or really desperate to get rid of something, although even with the latter case you'd gain the same bonus by only going down 1 gil, i.e. being at the top of the list.
