What happens to a house

If i relinquish a personal house. Does it go instantly into buy out mode for an FC or does it goes into a cool down period before they can buy it? I want to help a small FC get a house in game and wand to donate my personal house to them.

It goes on timer like any other house once demolished.

Aww that is freaking dumb. Wanted to give the house away to an FC that has been trying to get a house for a long time.

Yes, it's unfortunate but the timer is there to hinder the resellers. If allowances were made for situations like yours, it would become another tool resellers would use for gaining control over more houses as they became available.

You could still invite 3 members of that FC to be tenants of your house while they wait to buy a FC house. That would allow them to decorate it as a meeting space for the FC and use the garden to grow things and raise a little gil for the FC. Members could buy apartments in the apartment building in the same ward (if it's not already full) so they would have the equivalent of private chambers plus a cheap teleport when they want to go the house. Each apartment building having a chocobo stable allows resident FC members to help train each other's chocobos.

Obviously still not the same as the FC getting their own house, but at least something for a start until they're finally able to buy. Hopefully SE will be doing something that fixes this situation when Ishgard housing is released.
