You mean shadow tanks for everything in the game, the consistent domination of SAM/WAR/MNK, leaving DRK/DRG in the dust, the ever-pitiable and morose THF, SEBW zergs, Skirmish Pephedro in Bhaflau Remnants, Absolute Virtue, PANDEMONIUM WARDEN, hundreds of millions of gil, and thousands of man-hours for 10-20% DPS increase via relics, veritable pages of useless abilities and weaponskills that do naught but consume memory slots and fill out description tags for artifact and relic armor?

Three hour events with twenty to sixty folks pulling and sleeping four to twelve mobs, hoping that one of them would finally drop that bloody pair of Valor Gauntlets? Or were you particularly fond of Ullikummi and his twelve-hour window, back in the golden days of RMT'd Sky?

This game doesn't take place in Vana'diel, nor does it have any characters from Final Fantasy XI. There is no way this game could EVER be Final Fantasy XI-2 (aka a sequel). I'm sick of seeing this crap.

I didn't follow his posts too closely, but his latest gimmick seems to be following everyone who ever disagreed with him and calling them trolls.

Because the poll is pretty biased, I'll chose neither. I want FFXIV because it has the potential to be even better than it is now, though some things could use some tweaking. Leveling is one of them. Of course it's too fast currently. That doesn't mean they can't tweak things down the road. Death Penalty is not. If we ever start losing XP or leveling down as a death penalty I'm quitting immediately. Thankfully the devs have already said that's not in the plans.

Both games have their merits. However I signed up with FFXIV for FFXIV and mostly because it wasn't like FFXI. Never cared much for XI so I was happy to hear XIV would be different. FFXIV has the potential to be so much better than what we've seen before, why would we want to go back to that?

However if FFXIV is not to your liking you're more than welcome to go back to the dozens of WoW clones that exist out there or find a F2P game that suits your needs, good luck with that. I'm always an advocate of finding a game that you actually like to play. For me, that's FFXIV.
