    This might sound cynical but it seems every job Derplander Touches turns to crap. MNK in SB, DRK in SHB, idk if this was the case for DRG back in the day.

    Theirs NIN, and derplander seems to dislike magic jobs as he’s never seen with any RDM, SMN, BLM Ranged aswell MCH and BRD. ARC yes but no BRD

    DRG was okay afterwards for a while, but it required some pretty precise timing and positionals. Still does now but it's definitely more forgiving.

    Hence why i hope its BLM, it really wouldnt be hard for them to destroy that job, makes sense to me

    I expect it'll be Paladin, simply because it's an iconic WoL style that as of yet hasn't been a poster job.
    But I'd like to throw in Machinist and Red Mage for contenders too.

    The 5.4 antagonist's monster name gives it away. It'll also be part of the theming with our return to being a Warrior of Light now that we're back on the Source, as well as tying into the aspect of our, "Sun God" heritage.

    I would imagine some sort of melee class since you can't really have cool sword fights as a healer or caster. However, Red Mage is a possibility because they have melee stuff and they can make that look cool. That being said, Paladin seems logical. I know we have Ninja still, but we don't know the theme of the next expansion, and Ninja has an eastern theme. Paladin is pretty universal, so it would be the safe bet.
