I haven't actually seen a hyperlink that is more than text in a chat channel, which means that you have to deliberately copy and paste the link in order to use it. Mission accomplished. No thanks necessary.

Herp-derp dont click the link if you dont want to go to the site

Except gamepad users who,

-sort their party list
-use the player search feature to invite people to parties
-etc

also have muscle memory that is now the default to click that link.

Open menu > Up > X button > X button.

which instead of sorting the party list, or doing the other functions now opens that menu and clicks the link.

Note that you didn't say "web link button", you said "hyperlinks".

This is a hyperlink in the forums, created with the "insert link" button: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone.

And I can put it into chat all day long and you still can't click on it.

If you had opened with "please allow this button to be disabled", along with the example screenshot you provided in your response, I wouldn't have commented at all.

As it stands, you failed in your objective for the initial post, and succeeded in making clear to the developers what you want with your reply to my comment.
