Thread: Help Me Guess 6.0 Release Date :)

It depends on if they have been able to or will be able to make up any of that time. We normally have that last stretch between the X.5 patch and the next expansion drag on pretty long. Also, if COVID flares up again in Japan, it's possible things get delated even further.

But assuming neither of those things are true, if we consider that the expansions typically launch in early July, and that we had a 2-3 month delay between patches, I would expect September or early October at the latest.

Tell your manager that you don’t know how you want to spend your vacation yet but your plans should become clear in February. As you are last priority it doesn’t matter when you take it as long as others don’t already have. You’d be very lucky to guess the date xD.

Yes, I'd be very lucky to hit it on the head.

Just to share a little more about how we are doing vacation. We have a couple of initial selection rounds. During these rounds people are limited to how much time they can pick and it's done by seniority. After these initial rounds, it is basically first come first serve for the remaining open days. Due to limits on how many can be off, weekends are usually all gone once that, first come first serve time opens. So basically, my best chance to get any particular time off is during this initial period when people are limited on how much they can take. I can always cancel any picks I make or take any open days once this period is over.

Based on what I'm seeing here, I'll probably use one of my week selections in September or October depending on what's open, and I'll also use my individual days' selection to try and get as many weekends in those months as possible. Besides the week around Labor Day, weekdays in September and October tend to be pretty open so that's a plus.

Edit: Sorry, you probably want more of a breakdown as to HOW I got those dates. I also count the start of an expansion from early access as that's technically when it goes live, even if officially it is the following Tuesday (anyone buying the game in the early access period gets immediate access, Early Access is just a marketing thing)

Thank you, although it was just putting the patch dates in and then estimating based on the patterns.

It's obviously not going to be perfect, not even SE will have exact dates planned out, but it gives a general idea at least, but because that's 4 patches ahead, it could end up a month out (if they're all one week more or less than I expected).

It's going to be either September 25 or September 30. But if you're really asking me when then it might be August 25th or August 31. I am not sure what do you think?
