Thread: Unoriginal Ideas for Healer in 6.0

I'm sure this is no where near a unique idea. I don't understand how devs can be so bad at designing any class that isn't dps. Players are giving ideas left and right, but it's like they have Michael Scott working there and refusing to actually be competent. In a game where any class can do any content, who cares if one class is better than another. Why should the top 1% or the bottom 30% dictate how the majority plays? Make classes unique and different.
My ideas:
WHM:Stronger base healing with a tiny little dps rotation (pure healer like they want, without taking away from cool concepts for the other healers)
SCH: shields and fairy
AST: Focus on buffs/debuffs with more area of affect heals
New healer: Focus on Hot
- All classes will still have the basic cure/cure2 & medica/medica2

Is my idea too simple and vague?

You're essentially describing the current healer.

I mean, it is basically the most realistic outcome of a 6.0 healer design, I'll give you that.

I already said it was unoriginal lol But I think it differs in a couple of ways actually. WHM would remain pretty much the same, a boring OGCD cure bot, but a little mini dancer-esque dps rotation that runs off rng. Scholar can remain the same more else. Ast would have the shields and hot removed and have an added amount of AoH and adding debuffs which it does not have. Then the new healer will be the "HoT" healer, taking those 4 or 5 HoT from astr that they have currently.

Isn't that what they are now? An OGCD-fied cure bot?

I've been b*tching for years to make it something that's not a boring curebot, only for them to double down every expansion. I can hope they give it an actual interesting kit while realistically anticipating they're going to make it...a boring curebot in 6.0.

Yeah... I think my idea still follows a boring route, but I think it is a step in the right direction. I am not a game designer lol all I know is that I am your next door healer main who doesn't suck and isn't the top 1%.

Sorry, very vague. As it stands now, it would need more input.
As an example, why would we want scholar to remain "the same"? what is that to you - I know what it is to me (i.e. current scholar ) - but it's a lot more than shields and a fairy., but even so -what about "shields and the fairy"? change the shields? more shields? better shields? what about the fairy? return to how it used to work (management) ? give back Eos and Selene and their unique skills ? fix fairy issues (ghosting)?

We already have a number of threads with suggestions or lists of current scholar issue, I don't want to list them all here- but in this example, you listed somethings, but didn't present what you wanted - i hope the example I showed was clear.
