    Graphic errors/fps drop

    Hello. Since the release of the patch I've had strange stuttering and sudden fps drops, but the most worrisome is this:



    As you can imagine that didn't look that way before the patch. I'm unsure if it's my graphic drivers, I've updated them noticed the error, rolled back (tested them) and updated them again without any change.

    I also tried disabled fullscreen optimizations.

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

    1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
    2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
    3) Remove any mods or injectors from the game or system
    4) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
    5) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
    6) Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card
    7) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything
    8) Install, Windows, Steam and FINAL FANTASY XIV onto the same drive

    I love that you replied very fast, but please do read my post as I already did some of these.

    1) there is no overheating
    2) there are no other programs running/no custom mods/no overclocking
    3) there is nothing of the sort
    4) as stated in my post, i disabled this from the start, there was no change
    5) there is no extra stuff plugged
    6) please read the original post, installed, rolled back, reinstalled, nothing changed
    7) it's a fresh install from yesterday, still, i did this, nothing changed
    8) i've had installed windows in one ssd and steam and ffxiv in another ssd without any problem for a long time now this just started happening with the patch update.

    okay so, here is what i did:

    updated windows
    reinstalled the last nvidia drivers
    uninstalled the Inter Driver Support software, that fixed the fps drop for some reason??

    but turns out the Mt. Gulg bug is a wide bug not only seen by me, so maybe this thread should be moved to bugs



    i'd mark this as solved, but also, well, you might want to fix that because it looks awful and made me worried it was my graphic card/computer when it was definitely not.
