The 13th?

I'd accept that the tentacle boss with the hair might be one as well, but diablo was the warrior of light of his world, surely, he's got a mind and power enough.

Technically the boss with the hair is Calofisteri, who was actually a resident of the Source. Specifically a mage from Mhach who drank voidsent blood in a ritual (no idea if it's generic voidsent blood like the crafting ingredient we use in ALC recipes, or the blood of specific voidsent) to basically turn into what she became, as an attempt to guard the Nullstone.

The boss with the tentacles is Cuchulainn, who was indeed a champion of the Thirteenth, and whose name I always have to look up to check the spelling of.

Cuchuliaan's entry in the 1st lore book says that they were a WoL of the 13th. Just because a voidsent has a lot of power and mind and is high on the Voidsent hierarchy doesn't mean they were a WoL.

To be pedantic, I don't think there's a source saying Cuchulainn or any of the voidsent were Warriors of Light. The specific word used is "champion" in the lorebook, and "hero" by Unukalhai. (Cylva refers to herself as one of the "heroes" as well.)

Having said that, I could be wrong, since it all depends on some dialogue somewhere referring to them as "Warriors of Light". I have no idea where that might be found, but I can't rule it out completely.

If I recall, in the 5.3 story quests, it is noted that Warriors of Light and Hero tends to be used interchangeably. It does leave some credence for Cuchulainn being a Warrior of Light. I do believe we are also refered to as a champion on occasion.

While that was specifically regarding the heroes from the First, I guess it could also be ascribed to the other champions from other Shards.

Unukalhai does specify a difference between "champions" and "those of the Light".

The implication is that the "champions" (and "heroes") of the Thirteenth who were corrupted by auracite and turned into powerful voidsent were different from those who had the Blessing Of Light, ie chosen by Hydaelyn.

However, this dialogue is from the 3.x patches, and as usual it's possible it could be retconned by someone going "actually Unukalhai was ignorant of the true facts" or "he was speaking generally". And personally I do also think it's very possible for a WoL of the Thirteenth to be turned into a voidsent when the Thirteenth fell to Darkness. It's just that I don't have any evidence of that, until otherwise stated.
