    "A version update is required. Select OK and launch the game again. 1012"

    I have been having issues launching the game for a week or two at this point. I have uninstalled and re-installed the game a few times. I got it to work for a while using DirectX 9 but that is no longer working. Now it won't launch the game at all and says "Unable to complete version update."

    When I use DirectX 11, it launches, but when I press start it says "A version update is required. Select OK and launch the game again. 1012" and closes.

    Were any update or changes made to the PC? Additionally, are you connected directly to the router when accessing the game?

    No updates or changes have been made to the PC aside from the regular Windows updates. This computer is connected via wifi.

    Are you able to connect the PC directly the router? Additionally is the game allowed through the fire wall?

    Is the game application allowed through the firewall?

    I figured it out. It was a problem with Avast Antivirus. It was putting game files in the "virus chest" and blocking them. Thanks!
