....*Blink*..... Best job in the game?.....*Blink*.....What?I agree, these monks (or monkes as I like to refer to them) have been the best job in the game for 5 expansions now, I think it's about time us dragoons rise up. Dragoon should have received a 100 potency buff to vorpal thrust to make it easier to play (that's my fav skill). If YoshiP won't buff Dragoons, I'll have no choice to go back to playing Fortnite for this upcoming patch. You brought this upon yourself, Yoshi.

Monks got their dragoon treatment this expansion, but at least you still kept your buffs and could continue your combo if you missed the positional xD

I currently main monk as my DPS and have been waiting for this moment ever since they introduced Tornado Kick as a gimp skill that it was back in Heavensward.
Monk could be split into two sides: Your GCD skills and your oGCD skills.
Monk needs to use it's GCD skills like crazy to keep up it's buffs: GL, Twin, Leaden, Demolish.
After the GCD's were used then you could start to unload your oGCD's: Elixir, Forbidden (Enlightenment), Tornado Kick, SSS, Brotherhood, RoF. This would push your DPS into the stratosphere.
The difference that really miffed monk's was the importance on GL being the real hurdle of the job's REAL dps. If you had GL maxed you were OP and everything jived. If you lost it you were gimp.
Were SE dropped the ball was they started to give monk MORE oGCD's that "helped" us keep GL up. This is where monk started to become misguided in being coherent, and fun to play. Engaging as it was...it was no longer fun and became a APM nightmare that solely focused on GL upkeep.
Now, with the current upcoming rework GL is GONE. AND THANK YOU YOSHI P! GOOD RIDDANCE TO GL UPKEEP!
Will monk be nerfed....you bet your A$$. Do I care? Nope! Because the real take away here is GL is gone and Tornado Kick is NOW my capstone ability it should have been years ago.
Also, RNG for chackra is mostly non-issue. I say this because I don't know the details on how chackra will be opened with 100% chance. Will every critical hit be a chackra? Or will every critical hit roll the dice to be a chacrka vs. 70% chance a critical hit will have the dice rolled to be a chacrka? Tuesday will be a day of testing monk for me.

Every critical will open one, and when brotherhood is up anyone hitting a critical gives you an 80% chance to open one. it's going to turn you into galaxy brain charka.I currently main monk as my DPS and have been waiting for this moment ever since they introduced Tornado Kick as a gimp skill that it was back in Heavensward.

That is literally not how brotherhood works.
It's been changed to proc off of spells alongside weaponskills with it's proc chance being reduced from 30% to 20%.
Can you at least be accurate when you're trying to start a piss fight with monks please and thanks.

If you're responding to me, that's what I said. The proc rate was reduced. So if he's making the comparison to having multiple dancers, then he'll be getting fewer chakras from them now compared to last week. I also said clearly that the procs now apply to casters. I don't need to provide exact numbers in every post in order to be accurate since it is true that we'll get more chakras now from caster heavy comps compared to before and fewer from physical heavy comps.

keep in mind it will it has a lot higher chance to proc with +3 members getting in on it. then before aka the casters.
I think the 100% critical = charka is going to make up the difference for auto attack damage.

It should work exactly the way it did previously except now it’s a guaranteed Chakra whenever your WS crits. That combined with Brotherhood potentially procing off of everything is why FC had its potency nerfed; because we’ll be using it far more often. Also, RNG for chackra is mostly non-issue. With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
