    The Monk Rework is a bit overkill

    Monk is only within 2% of other melee wouldn't this put them 10% over every job in the game or am i tripping? They still have greased Lightning so why were their abilities buffed like they don't have it?

    old bonus : : Increases damage dealt by 10% and reduces weaponskill cast time and recast time, spell cast time and recast time, and auto-attack delay by 5%

    30% Damage Dealt, 15% recast//spell/auto. (40%/20% wind)

    New : 20% Damage, 20% Recast

    45% vs 40%

    but the shift from 50/80 chakra's to 80/100% will make up for that by a large margin plus an overall minimal damage output increase.

    They removed the dmg up buff of greased lightning (it only affects attack speed and gcd now), so they had to increase the potencies accordingly.

    Yes, But they aren't accordingly increased so the outputs the same, potencys are looking like they are increased. over duration, it seems to me that they will be outputting around 6.2% higher damage overall.

    No more monstrous auto attack damage. Monks, compared to other jobs, had much higher AA contribution due to how many stacking damage buffs they had.

    also appears that some abilities were buffed past the 30% thresh-hold(some abilites 35% and 32% etc.), so monks should be doing more damage over all just not Auto attacks, their skill damage has increased dramatically especially leaden fist.

    The skill damage seems proportionate to the reduction of their global modifiers, with the exception of Twin (Very high, to make double true less necessary most likely), Demolish (on the weaker side), and SSS (On the higher end - ROF Last GCD maybe?).

    Tornado kick will most likely make up the loss of auto attack potency.

    The primary things to watch are the increased rate of use of Forbidden Chakra, which despite a loss will see a higher amount of use. It'll happen more often, but hit for significantly less. Like if you comb through logs and look at what it hit for before, it's going to be nearly 30% less. The boost to deep meditation should theoretically offset this, and crit windows for monks are going to be dumb as heck.

    Hard to say where Brotherhood is going to fall, other than "It's just better now". Monks ran in majorly physical parties anyway, so the 3 casters coming in to play at a lowered rate of increase means this probably, for the Monk, will be mostly the same, but a few hundo more RDPS is a few hundo more RDPS.

    In short, everything here seems pretty muted, but hey, I'm wrong pretty often.

    I agree, these monks (or monkes as I like to refer to them) have been the best job in the game for 5 expansions now, I think it's about time us dragoons rise up. Dragoon should have received a 100 potency buff to vorpal thrust to make it easier to play (that's my fav skill). If YoshiP won't buff Dragoons, I'll have no choice to go back to playing Fortnite for this upcoming patch. You brought this upon yourself, Yoshi.

    Monks got their dragoon treatment this expansion, but at least you still kept your buffs and could continue your combo if you missed the positional xD
