    Monk Gauge Post 5.4

    Obviously, haven't played the 5.4 monk yet, but pretty excited by the patch notes.

    The only thing that stands out to me is: the job gauge is just Chakra now. We don't need to track GL anymore, which is great, so where that real estate used to be, I'd like to see:
    • A timer that tracks the duration of Twin Snakes
    • An indicator telling me if I have Leaden Fists up or not
    I know both of these can be tracked on the buff bar, but putting them on the job gauge would give me a static, easy to find place for them, and would dramatically help me keep track of where I am in the rotation.

    100% agreed, it's very frustrating that we still have to look at the buff/debuff bar to see timers like these which are integral to our job. If nothing else, the Leaden Fist buff should 100% be on the gauge.

    i am sorry but really is this need you know when twin snakes and leaden fists ups come into your rotation it's not like Dragoon, ninja, and etc

    I mean, I guess? Mostly just so there’s more to it visually I suppose. But personally things like Twin Snakes and Leaden Fists come down to muscle memory. I also see zero difference between glancing at your buffs glancing at the gauge.

    these buffs are not like other jobs they are small in durations come and goes in your rotation it's not a buff you need to track

    I do think at the moment Mnk's gauge is useless though. I changed it to simple mode just to get it out of the way. It only works when it's full, and when it's full it changes the ability that's on my hotbar. So I never need to look at it.

    Definitely a Twin Snakes timer on the gauge with the depleting animation. Other than that, this was a huge QoL change. I'm sure there are going to be people who will find something to complain about, but what can you expect with a 79 page megathread complaining about the job and demanding a change for the past year? (Not asking the OP, just generalizing)

    I feel like this shouldn't have been a hard thing to implement, but I admit I don't know coding to be able to speak to it.

    If they used the same GL timer, they could have included both. They could have used the 3-stack of GL interface to show:

    {leaden fist} {empty} {twin snakes} timer:twin snakes duration

    Something like that. Where the far left lights up if you have leaden fist, there's an empty space to visually seperate it from twin snakes, and then the far right one lights up if twin snakes is up, and the former GL countdown now counts down how much time is left on your twin snakes buff.

    One special detail I would love is the frame around the chakra gauge being changed according the animal form you are in. At least for me, when I have to interrupt my rotation by some reason, gotta double check the stage I’m in and that would make it more obvious and easier
