    From what I'm reading from the people who run the numbers, these changes might actually be a nerf to the job, not a buff or maintaining the same level of DPS.

    AOE skills weren't buffed by the same 30% to keep their potencies comparable to what they were before the rework, so for dungeons monks definitely got a nerf. Additionally one of the main sources of our DPS, our auto attacks, no longer benefit from the 30% damage increase granted by greased lightning. Auto attacks made up for 20-25% of our total damage before, so hitting that with a 30% reduction is pretty huge.

    Going to have to test if we can even use it with PB. Before already had issues hitting every FC if got lucky on rng during burst window. Now during brotherhood we'll likely be spamming FC. Imagine with two Dnc two Mnk. O.O

    The proc rate we get from our teammates was reduced, so you'll probably be doing fewer forbidden chakras now with two dancers than you were before. In 8-man content we might get slightly more if we get put into a caster-heavy group since brotherhood now applies to them too, but we'll be getting less than if we had a group of mostly physical party members.

    Well don’t forget that the wording implies that it will proc off of heals and buffs too. Or at least it just says “spells” and doesn’t specify offensive casts. SE must be confident that we’ll be tossing more FC overall, otherwise they probably wouldn’t have reduced the potency.

    And one thing that didn’t occur to me, but yeah... auto-attack is a significant amount of our total damage so losing the damage portion of GL is going to hurt unless they modify our auto-attack scaling.

    What I don't understand is the removal of the "wind" riddle. That'll just feel ... unbalanced... missing.

    Riddle of Wind was previously the trait that Granted GL4 while in Wind Stance, it's basically just been changed to a new trait.

    Yes, I know it needed to change. But now there's 3 stances, and 2 riddles. They could have put ANYTHING in there, it just feel strange for it to be a conceptual blank space.

    People are expecting SE to remove the fist stance in 6.0 at this point tbh. the two riddles won't feel as weird if they do that.

    Although if you really wanted to stretch you could argue the run speed added to Six-Sided Star is the "Riddle of Wind" since FoW= movement speed.

    Fist of Wind still gives the run speed, and SSS gives you "sprint" for 5 secs. So if you run Fists of wind in a heavy AOE encounter, and pop SSS you may just run right off the edge lol.

    I'm really hoping this stacks! SSS, Fists of Wind, Sprint. ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM
