That's not the worst.

They buffed Dragoon, Monk (?), Ninja and Red mage.
The 4 jobs that aren't at the top with SMN, BLM and SAM.

The gap between ranged jobs and the other DPS will only get bigger. No matter the mobility required for this new raid tier, there is no way ranged will shine in any way.

the 1% buff you bring as a ranged DPS now is even more worthless. Square Enix, im calling you out. you do not understand the ranged DPS role. you do not see the gulf a void between the bottom and top DPS. you NEED to sort your shit out

We knew a rework was not coming for brd, so this potency buff is more than enough. The relative position of ranged dps jobs hasn't change: you still want one (and only one) in your party.

the relative place of a ranged in your party is that they're not really needed in the party at all and the 1% buff they bring isnt worth it. 10 potency is NOT "enough" what I expect and what is needed is MCH and BRD get a 3% buff. because the gap between the lowest DPS that isnt ranged and then the ranged is too large. there's a larger gap between RDM and DNC/BRD/MCH than there is RDM-SAM/BLM. "more than enough" go back to keeping your eyes closed and not seeing the issues

Physical Ranged arent supposed to be top dps.

Again, I have said this to ranged dps players before, you have no position requirements, such as casting times (as with the other ranged classes) or melee positionals, as with the melee class.

This means you can be literally anywhere at any time, meaning your job is easier to play mechanically speaking.

With this in mind, the development team doesnt want the entire playerbase playing these classes. (Because if they could produce top dps numbers, and also have the mobility the draw to these classes would be extremely high.) If you want to play a top dps class and be a ranged, consider a caster.

If you enjoy the class you play, be the best at it. You arent going to be excluded for being an exemplary bard.

Most importantly, bards already asked for a damage increase, when they were given it in the form of cast times, they immediately regretted the changes and wanted their mobility back. Square-Enix at this point has made it very clear. You get cast times with more damage, or mobility with less damage. Pick your poison.

not asking to be top dps asking for not such a gap between DNC/BRD/MCH and everything else
