I'm going past the OP topic of the lore, but I can't help myself trying to connect what has happened to what is going to happen for 2.0:

I believe though, Cid is going to find away(with our help) to stop them from fully bringing down that moon to impact Eorzea. Which will cause the reverse gravity effect that will cause the land to be reshaped and deformed. Old things that lie buried that will once again rise to the surface. As we all see from the 2.0 concept art. And from those pic I also come to realize that some years might have gone by from the era we live in now to that of the new era of 2.0 launch.

And this castle structure? How did it get built so quickly after the effects of meteor. If we think the land scape and new story begins soon after 'the fall of Dalamud'.


opinion: I really think a few years or more, are going to have past after meteor does its damage, because most of the concept art depicts a vast change to Eorzea from the destruction meteor is going to bring. 2.0 can't just be "..and then the next day" there are a lot of new man made structures located in the same areas we are playing now, even new foliage is seen in the pdf. files:


Side note: I think the new trailer will bridge the gap of meteor hitting and the changes that follow showing the new landscape. A prequel for 2.0 if you want to call it that.

This Lore is very good when you actually sit down and take it all in.
