Ive read 5 different sites to find info on any upcoming xmas patch for this game and it seems theres nothing planned at all. Obviously I find this extremely disappointing, but my biggest concern is wanting to get a xmas tree without paying 5 million gil or 5 dollars for an item that might be put in for free.

I get covid is making things difficult for everyone, but not even getting basic halloween items was a huge burn. This is just more salt in the wound, especially without even an announcement from the company about the issue or acknowledging our disappointment with last months 'event'

Why jump to the conclusion that there's no Christmas event just because it hasn't been announced yet? Other sites won't be able to discuss an event that hasn't had its details released yet.

I'm used to most games having their halloween/xmas stuff out at the start of the month so you have time to enjoy the items/decor. Plus it gives you time to farm the items if need be. Been playing mmos since the early 2000s and so far this game has been a very different experience. Then again, this whole year has been different, so cant really be too surprised by anything anymore. Just sucks to get into a game that has no holiday events happening but tries to cash shop me the previous years holiday items as a consolation prize

Christmas events in this game typically don't start until the second or third week of the month. The data will probably be added in with the patch on Tuesday.

I suspect what is going on is that the Christmas and New Years event data is going to be part of Tuesday's patch. The Christmas event will likely start the week after and last until the first when the New Years event will start.

I think the main reason other games start earlier is because their holidays have a lot more grinding and daily quests.

The holidays on other games are when they start doing month long "Events" where most of the items are locked behind either that grind, or cash shop (or both). Mostly cash shop event though.
