What are some of the easiest mounts to get?

Lvl 58 Paladin here so quite new to the game and i was wondering what are some of the easiest free mounts to get in the game? So far the have the basic chocobo, Magitek Armor and the black Chocobo.

The Beast tribe quests are easy, they just are time gated.
There are tons on the market board.
The firmament, which you should have access too soon I believe, has some
There are mounts you can buy with achievement points.
You can buy some with MGP at the gold saucer.
Deep Dungeons has a couple

There are really mounts for nearly any sort of content.

The easiest mounts to get are arguably the ones locked behind storyline. You'll be getting two more story mounts by level 60 and I think another one story mount by 70. No story mounts in ShB yet.

If you level CNJ to 30 upon completing the level 30 class quest for it you can then do a very quick and easy quest from the CNJ's Guild in Gridania that rewards a Unicorn mount. Note that you cannot be WHM for this quest, you must be CNJ (so unequip the WHM Soul Crystal if you have it temporarily for it).

Near the end of Heavensward's story you also gain a certain dragon mount as part of the main scenario (the identity of which is a spoiler so I won't spoil it for you), so that is another one. Likewise later in Stormblood's main scenario you also get another certain mount upon completing a particular dungeon.

You can also buy mounts on the Mogstation, some of which are from past seasonal events (like the witch's broom), and some unique for the Mogstation (like Cloud's Fenrir motorcycle from FFVII Advent Children). You can also get mounts from the Collector's Editions of ARR and the expansions, which is available as a 'digital upgrade' on the Mogstation.

At your level you could consider farming the horse mounts that drop from Extreme ARR trials.
I believe there's one in


The Bowl of Embers (Extreme)
The Navel (Extreme)
The Howling Eye (Extreme)
Thornmarch (Extreme)
The Whorleater (Extreme)
The Striking Tree (Extreme)
Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Extreme)

The first three drop their unique respective horses, but also have a chance of dropping a rare secret Nightmare mount.

"You'll get a mount from the MSQ near the end of Heavensward." That's all you need to say if you don't want to spoil things. Don't tell them what kind of mount it is.
