ya, you just get ported to the ward within the city you are in, assuming each market has a ward for each house, rather than it being elsewhere

Its not a ward, its so simple.
Each city has 3 NPC's, these 3 NPC's represent 1 city nation, so you have a Uldah Market Guide NPC, a Gridania Market Guide NPC, etc, you can teleport between these freely, within the city, to buy stuff from the ward window.
To enter the ward itself you still have to do it the old fashion way, this means the "Buying" window will no longer be where it is now, at the wards, it will be on the NPC's.
The issue could have been that items that sell fast in bulks (shards) would not benefit from this because a ward would always have the most (Uldahs) and likely be more used, but if people can fly around fast to check all 3, then you can still be semi competitive with bulk-fast selling items.
I think it would have been better if the NPC's were stood next to each other tho, i've crashed several times using the intercity teleport, so i will be reluctant to use this lol.

so i assumed that it would be located in the market wards

Ah so my view of it was still right, just it is not 3 NPC's but more 3 mini zones you go into through the Market Ward, So my guess is you run to where wards are now, then teleport into 1 of those houses, and that house has access to the Market Ward of its related city!
