Looking to start fresh on another server/data center

As the title suggests, I'm looking for suggestions of a new English speaking server/data center to go to. Reasons are... personal... and I won't say any more than that. While I have my main still on Balmung/Crystal, I want to go to a new server/data center and start fresh. While my timezone is UTC+8, I usually get on whenever, so one which has people active all the time, is one I am looking for. Any suggestions etc would be more than welcome. Peace.

Have you tried looking around the other servers on Crystal? Coeurl is pretty calm and has exploded in population as of late. I would vote on server hopping and talking with the locals and them maybe consider looking elsewhere if nothing seems to strike your interest.

I think it's maybe less critical what datacenter you pick, and more what Free Company you do? A good FC makes all the difference.

(That said, people seem to think the different datacenters do have slightly different feels; I hear that Primal's got a community that tilts slightly more towards raiding than the others, etc. Having only really played in Primal, I couldn't say.)

Hmm, in my experience the dead time on Primal/Aether is generally from about 1900 ~ 0000 in your timezone. I'm pretty sure the EU DC has a fairly high english speaking population, but Idk nothin' bout their dead times.

Just... looking for a new place to start from the beginning again, where there's a generally active playerbase for the UTC+8 timezone. I know that a alot of Australian players play on Tonberry, but... I'm just trying to avoid some... and just enjoy the game. Don't get me wrong, I love where I am and my main will stay there. There's just a lot of bad memories on Balmung, personal wise, and I just want to be able to play and enjoy the game with some like minded people. Pretty broad i know, but... yeah.

i used to play on hyperion. i really liked it there and sometimes consider going back. you’ll run into unpleasant ppl where ever u go, but if u must transfer, maybe check out hyperion

It depends on what you're looking for aside from just the fresh start. If you're looking to raid in PF, don't come to Aether. I hate to say it, but our party finder sticks with the absolute worst strats. E8S was a sea of Ilya even after he said it was not a good strat, it was just the one that got his group through world prog. I think this week was the first time I saw something other than Ilya in multiple PFs

If your issue is the more relaxed nature of Balmung and Crystal you might want Gilgamesh. Not saying that Gilga lacks chill people, my old FC was very chill, it just seems to be the place where hardcore raiders purposefully gather.

If you want to get away from vertain people, the best bet would be to switch datacenters. I'm not all that knowledgeable on servers other than my own, but I've been having good fun on Primal/Exodus. As long as you avoid T4C I also think the FC's are pretty nice. The one I'm in is pretty small but everyone's helpful and gets along, so if you just want to hang out with some people you could join us.

Ultimately though neither I nor anyone else can really help you unless you're looking for something very specific.
