University Project Related to FFXIV

I'm trying to collect some data about the FFXIV community for a university assignment, so I need as many people as possible to fill this form. Everything's anonymous, and it'd really help if you took just a few minutes to answer. Thank you!

I realise this survey is not really aimed at me, and I also realise I have little to no experience doing university research, but I still feel like I should put down a comment here.

The questions seem a bit restrictive / like they don't gather enough data. You ask for a gender, an ethnic group and then ask three questions related to diversity, two of which you can't answer if you're not part of a minority. That leaves a person like me(white male) with three questions.

I don't know the exact details of your research, but here are some possible avenues you could explore and gather data on:

-Ask people not part of a minority for their perspective on these issues so you can contrast their answers with what minority groups think.
-Ask people what gender their player character is and contrast it with their IRL gender, as well as seeing if they identify as part of a minority or not.
-Ask people for their perspective on other minorities in the game
-If "minority" is the benchmark, you could explore the avenues of sexual and gender identity. Ask participants if they're trans, non-binary, gay, bisexual, etc.

From the little I know about uni more date usually correlates to better data, and the more links you can lay the better. It feels like a skeleton questionnaire of what it is meant to be and even just as little as 4-5 extra questions could go a long way, I feel.

This isn't higher-education university research aimed at publishing in prestigious scientific journals or anything like that, so the questionnaire is meant to be very focused on the experience of minorities within the game's community (while still getting an idea of what the community looks like) rather than an all-encompassing experiment to gather as much raw data as possible. I've been debating with myself about adding a question related to gender or sexual identity, I guess it could offer additional insight and make the goal of the questionnaire somewhat clearer. Yeah you're free to ignore me as long as you get what you need out of it. The goal of the survey wasn't exactly clear, and this helped give me a little more insight.
