Then why implement glamour. And stop cherry picking what I said. If there's a glamour mechanic then that in itself encourages people to stand around afking. U pay for a sub then ur entitled to afk in popular areas to show off gear like all mmos. Terms of service lol. You get timed out after too long so what's the problem?

I could go one step further and advice you to play a twitch fps or fifa if you u have a problem with afk types. Mmos are AFK. This one especially

There's a difference between allowing and incentivizing. You can stand around showing off your glamour. You can stand around doing diddly squat. That doesn't mean that there should be a system that actively encourages everyone to AFK. As stated, that would put a huge strain on the servers if nobody ever logged off to get gil. You have some players who will just AFK in game for whatever reason even when they aren't around, but plenty (I'd even argue most) don't. They just log out when they aren't playing.

But OP's idea would pretty much encourage everyone to just leave the game open 24/7 if it's not a resource issue. And yeah, that would be hard on the servers.

I don't think gil is the most enticing or appropriate reward.
I think this idea would be more effective if they kept giving players glamour items as veteran rewards.
