About Artifact gear and Relic Weapons (replicas)

    Greetings,

there had been several issues regarding these kinds of items that, while not gamebreaking, have grown to be somewhat bothersome and I would like to state for the record.

To begin with, I came back to Shadowbringers from Heavenswards, with some classes already at 60 by the time of my return. As I leveled another Job to 60, I noticed that, unlike in HW, the level 60 Job quest handed out the entire Artifact set, minus the weapon. Since I didn't usually go on Hunt trains back HW, I only had some artifact gear I actually aimed for, which is only the MCH gear, I went to the Calamity Salvager vendor to see that it didn't sell the level 60 gear (or ilvl90 gear), including the gear that I obtained on the lvl60 quests done during ShB. SE should add level 60 gear to the vendors since it gets annoying that not only you're tasked to go through the extra step of doing Hunts to obtain glam gear because you did the quests "too soon" but also that I have to keep that gear because I can't really throw them away and buying back on demand, nor keep them in the armoire, which brings me to the second point:

Why can't we keep Artifact gear from levels 60/70/80 in the Armoire? It is contradictory that we can keep level 50 relics there but not the following sets. Artifact entire sets take a ridiculous amount of space in the dresser as you get all classes to level 80. We're talking about 6 items per each level and, including ilvl90 gear while excluding ARR weapons (but we're getting to the ARR Relic weapon too in a moment), the total amount is 230 (2.x classes) + 54 (3.x classes) + 24 (4.x classes) + 12 (5.x classes) + 18 (BLU in 5.4), totalling 338 glams for DoW/DoM. That's almost the entire dresser, leaving only 62 spots for the rest and that's also 338 prisms that need to be used for it, all while said gear can only be glamoured for specific Jobs. And we could solve that also by taking out the glams limit but, by taking out the prism requirement for that gear, we solve 2 problems and leave glam dresser for the things we craft/loot/buy. And mind you, I've also skipped the green gear (not counting tools) from lvl50 DoH/DoL quests and the Relic Weapons replicas (for ALL stages) during the count, which also unnecesarily take space from the Dresser when they fit for the Armoire.

And speaking of Relics: Why do we have to be gated behind the whole Zodiac Weapons quests in order to get replicas of each steps? I don't see the point of having to go through all that grind so I can get replicas for Zeniths. I feel there is no sense in gating replicas behind grinding weapons one might not care about while you get the replica as you finish each step in Resistance weapons. Getting the replicas as you go through phases would be a welcome QoL change to me.

As a side note, it would be wonderful if there were some solution to gear unglamming for other classes when you use Artifact gear glamours, be it gear being able to be loaded with a different glamout per class or, at least, changing the glamour to each class Artifact gear (i.e. if I wear lvl 70 SMN as a glam and I swap to RDM, instead of the glam not loading, have it change to lvl 70 RDM gear, provided its unlocked).

I wholeheartedly agree with you about the AFs, especially the i90 and i210 ones. Why not let us buy them from the Calamity Salvager assuming the respective lv. 50/ lv. 60 job achievement is flagged? After all, this is exactly how the Calamity Salvager and Grenolts know they can sell the lv 50, lv. 70 and lv. 80 AFs.

About the ARR relic. I read that replicas cannot be bought easily because, to the contrary to subsequent relics, there is only one achievement by upgrade instead of one achievement by upgrade and by weapon. Therefore, based on the Relic Atma achievement, the game has no way to know if you got WAR's Bravura Atma or WHM's Thyrus Atma. That being said, there is an achievement for each weapon first stage. The i80 one that yields your lv. 50 job title, but also allows the Calamity Salvager to sell you the i80 weapon. So they could allow us to buy the replica of this weapon based on this achievement. This would be a small improvement at least since the i80 weapon cannot be put in the armoire nor the glamour dresser. In fact, no ARR relic can be put in the galmour dresser, only replicas!

Maybe they could also allow us to buy any replica up to the ARR relic weapon stage we have in the inventory, as they do when we have the final stage.

There's the possibility of linking glamour plates with gear sets, which would solve that issue if only they were usable outside of major cities. And some more plates would not hurt either because 15 is not enough if you want a unique glamour for each class.
