Need help with Scholar Macros

Issue 1: Whispering Dawn and Fey Illumination wont cast with /pac "Whispering Dawn". Anyone know how to fix this?

Issue 2:Bio will not cast on tanks target with /ac "Bio" <tt>. Anyone know how to fix this as well?

Don't use macros, they don't queue properly and will either be unreliable or lose you casts over a fight.

Whispering Dawn is no longer really a pet ability, you can just drag it into your hotbars from your job actions (not the pet actions at the bottom) and should treat it like an oGCD, the same goes for Fey Illumination, Fey Blessing and Consolation.


/ac "Bio" <tt> should be working, just tested it and it works fine for me.

I would however treat macroing GCD abilities and spells like a crutch to help with getting used to things. Macros in this game suffer from several restrictions that make them significantly less useful in combat. Unlike normal abilities they have no skill queing so the macro only activates after your GCD has completely reset, making it slower than the actual skill should be. Furthermore if you add a delay to abilities in the form of <wait.X> then X can always only be in full seconds, decimals do not work as the game just round to the nearest full second.


You can get away with macroing some oGCDs but a macro will generally always be slower than just using the ability itself.

As mentioned, do not macro GCD's, especially your main dps ability.

Mouseover macros for single target oGCD heals are acceptable for healing as long as you are aware they'll be marginally less optimal in some situations.
