on my birthday, yay^^
i think they are within their timeline.. we saw a garuda sneak peek, a post regarding market changes in 1.22 and so on.. and no informations till now of the patch being delayed. im thinking positive.
on early may i dont think so.. because yoshi said somethin about that they are working hard on the patch to release it before the big holidays in japan which is around early may.

Sorry, but you are wrong, you can tell by the dates of 1.18 and 1.19
1.18 http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...tch-1.18-Notes
released 7-21 (July 21st..)
1.19 http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...tch-1.19-Notes
Released 9-30 (September 30th..)
Which is right bang on when the timeline arrow shows. The "Live*" refers to regular game updates which introduce aspects of the story that can only be experienced for the duration of the rebuilding process. Aka Dalamund stuff and imperial events.
Now why would it be the "Start" when they published this in December, with 2 patches complete?
The only patch delays were:
1.20 by like a day or 2 if i remember, but the timeline is correct even with this.
1.21 released 03-08-2012, originally Mid Feb, almost 3 weeks delay.
1.22 is completely back on time for a End of April release.

The 1.22 arrow don't end in the february field. The arrow show where it is planned to go live.
・Early February 2012 - Patch 1.21 (and subsequent hotfixes)
⇒Creation of Private Rooms (Inns, etc.) / Hamlet defense PvE content
⇒The job system (7 jobs plus related quests and gear) / Personal chocobo gear
⇒Two new instanced raids
・Mid April 2012 - Patch 1.22 (and subsequent hotfixes)
⇒Garuda (Primal) battle./ Battle system balance adjustments
⇒Garlean Empire battle content
nothing to say anymore. and within the back, that we see more material of 1.22. these days.. and never heard something about a delay yet. (not like the last time with 1.21. where yoshida stated, that they need to delay 1.21 many weeks ago before release)
As for the all-important release date for 1.22, we’re aiming to have it go live at the end of April, ahead of the holiday period in Japan known as Golden Week. The whole team is running full tilt to meet this objective (end of april).

I hope people are not repeating all the fuss and ruckus from 1.21. 1.21 outrage was caused mostly to an extensive delay with barely any communication with it.
1.22, so far looks like to be on scheduled, Dev's are giving out information at a nice pace, and even said they were going to try to release it before the Golden Week and update us if there would be a delay. I have not seen any messages saying it will be delayed, so for now I have to assume everything is on schedule.
You guys need to acknowledge also that the biggest part about delays in previous patches were due to gameplay fundamental reasons. They were not just adding content, they were changing how you play the game. Changing to auto-attack, revamped abilities, combo system, and Job system. In 1.22 however, most of the mechanics for the revamp are already in place and 1.22 is primarily a content update, meaning not as much has to be done to get it going. I can tell you it is much easier to get content based updates out than ones with gameplay mechanic revamps.
So in my opinion, I wouldn't worry about it.
Assuming they can get 1.22 released before Golden Week, I'm going to make a guess and say not all the planned content will go live. And by that I mean..expect Hamlet Defense in 1.22a >.>
Didn't the Devs recently release something saying it would be Starting on the 28th? I can't remember where I saw it..
I'm guessing that will be 1.22.
