no ones dragging you along anything, you have a choice to play or not

Thing is, Yoshi never uses set in stone terms until he's absolutely sure on the date. He uses "we're aiming for...." or "hopefully be ready by..." etc when he's throwing estimations around.Yoshi just needs to under-promise and over-deliver...
I would have told people 1.22 will come out right before E3.... and then when it comes out a month early... people would be like "WOW, they must be doing something right"
Its not an issue of how hard their working, or delays or patch dates...
Its about PR...
and right now... Bad PR is bad
XI:Shadowtaru (Alexander)Manifest(Shiva) Volnaru (Asura)
1.0: Delirium Impulse (MysidiaGungnir)
ARR:Dashe Herate (Sargatanas)Dashe Voln (Excalibur)
What? No. That's not the purpose of a Beta lol. God damnit games that treat betas a glorified demos.
Problem with that is, once he does it once or twice people start expecting it. When people start expecting it and shit hits the fan and he delivers it at his original estimated time, instead of being early people go into a frenzy complaining "Well he could do it before so why can't he do it all the time, we want it now like the ungrateful bigots we are."Yoshi just needs to under-promise and over-deliver...

The fact Yoshi and his team even communicates with estimates, info, and data on a regular basis is a Godsend compared to the crap people put up with on the FF11 forums. He doesn't pull the surprisingly ultra-vague, poorly worded, highly misinterpreted info, while flipping even the JP community the bird like Tanaka and his team tends to pull. And I therefor am Thankful Yoshi and his team are being so upfront about delays, info, and such.

It's gonna be late as usual.
Also: I am drunk.

that is an acceptable PR risk... but being behind every "Approximate" date is a PR nightmareProblem with that is, once he does it once or twice people start expecting it. Probably will be. Honestly it won't bother me that much after the whole thing with 1.21 though.

I figure right now we should be happy with what we get, the investment we pay is still worth more than paying for SWTOR so we can smile and sit back. After 2.0, any lateness not well exchange can be subject to bitchy entitlement. I feel like the only reason why we complain is due to the fact they are being transparent about the process, in XI i would be completely taken back by version updates, I know its not right per se, but lets just say its a start, and hopefully they'll get "there" someday, it took time for everyone.

I'd already be happy with the poll results and a letter commenting them.
