Just thought a dedicated thread would be fitting. One thing I need to get out.

Eden Theories

So, we know E9 is Cloud of Darkness.

My guess is that the black wolf with the sword might be Griever, and Ultimicia is at least featured as the fairy possessing Gaia.

Earlier in the trailer, the eerie possessed voice is speaking (when we see G'raha casting something) is saying "I will draw your memories from you." Draw. FF VIII Fans might smile upon that clever wording. In FF VIII, Ultimicia draws Squalls memories from him to create Griever, the strongest being in Squall's mind.

Wolf Thing has a variant of the DRK Artifact Sword. Depending on whose memories are drawn from, might Ryne not think of the WoD as the strongest being?

And that scene with the 4 crystals with the Primal versions of the first. You can see at least one more, so I assume there are six crystals in total for the six elements we restored. Most likely an Ultimate animation, and the DRK LB3 hints at that as well. My money is on E11 or E12. Yoshi-P cleverly emphasized they won't show the bosses of those floors in the Trailer. Same principle with the Secret Trials who weren't shown in trailers while their Add Phases were.

And that clock ticking sound. Time compression, anyone?

Eden's Promise talk

Ultimecia is all but confirmed at this point as the final boss. As for the wolf, I feel that your theory could be correct, that it's basically how something sees the WoL himself, as a "guard dog" of darkness/shadow. It could be the first phase we're seeing, where the 2nd phase turns into Griever proper. It's possible that said Griever may use various moves that we have mastered over the years from the DRK job, or perhaps also moves from various other jobs over the years.

MSQ (Ascian related):

Zenos leaves the throne room, breaking Ame-no-Habakiri on a way to a new toy maybe?

Void towers appear, we see one from Floating City of Nym and the second one on the other side of Eorzea from Ala Mhigan Quarter.

Then WoL and the twins meet Fandaniel at Royal Menagerie.

And the Thing gets summoned. (Zenos' new toy?)

We also get a glimpse of Ascian conference room where Lahabrea (?) meets a female ascian.

Haven't looked at the trailer but read that it didn't appear to be setting up for Garlemald and I swear if they do another expansion of "Meanwhile in Garlemald"s I'm going to scream.

YES seriously, they already misdirected once, but i was okay with it the first time since it makes sure we don't have two back to back expansions with the same enemies (cough cough SWTOR KotFE followed by KotET) but if they do it again i will seriously be moderately annoyed. mainly because they have already done it once before plus that means that all that build up would have been for nothing and would have been a waste, i will not be satisfied with this new expansion if we do not at least go there and finally rap it up.

By the looks of it there won't be much to visit soon.

Just an opinion..

So.. The wolf has the same sword that Cylva hold.. coincidence? In the savage quest they said that Eden can manipulate memories, so maybe E10 is a recreated fight against Cylva.

An observation:

That fight with the wolfman takes place in Laxan Loft, the castle in Lakeland. You can tell by the purple-leafed trees outside the arena. So yes, this is either fight against a memory recreation of 'the Shadowkeeper' or something weird is going on.

I have a feeling that they'll destroy Garlemald and have Norvrandt merge with the Source in its place as a sort of failed/partial rejoining.
