Possible implication of Mitron's Sigil being Upright instead of Upside Down?

Every single Ascian we have seen thus far has had their Sigil be upside-down compared to their FFXII sigil. Mitron (Who was confirmed DEAD in 3.1) is now very much alive and his Sigil is RIGHT-SIDE UP. Why is this? Some theories include:
    1) An Ascian destroyed by Pure Aether /does/ reconstitute but as a different version of themselves...?
    2) By their Sigil being in reverse, could this imply that the resurrection was enacted by Venat/Hydaelyn?
    3) Is an Upright Sigil sign of a fully completed, non-Tempered Ancient?

I don't have a solid answer and yet this single piece of information has made me itchy with ideas. Anyone else agree/disagree/different ideas?

Igeyorhm's was right-side-up too. Mitron wouldn't be the first.

I'm 95% sure that barring any surprises, that scene from the trailer is just an echo flashback.

Only other reason for their appearance could be is a re-mantling of the title "Mitron", but the ascians who had the power to do that are now dead.

That actually makes me wonder...if their Scion of Light versions were upside down, wouldn't this mean that this is his Scion of Darkness self because of it being rightside up? Meaning this isn't Mitron the Chastiser, it's Chaos, Walker of the Wheel.

But we dont actually know... they take their "jobstone" to an shard and "promote" them... we dont know the limit of that, like, why not using several at once? Or does it cost too much power, or is not every shard fit to get transformed? We have no idea, by now we might have some of them back again but on other shards as they proofed to be fodder for us lol

We called Igeyorhm, Igeyorhm and not Shemhazai so I think the whole "ascian symbol being right-side-up" thing doesn't mean anything in FFXIV since this isn't FFXII after all.

I can't remember who it was, but it was already mentioned in-story that only the 3 head honchos could red mask an ascian. Otherwise they could just keep coming back over and over and that doesn't really bring any finality to the story and isn't fun for anyone. The simplest answer to why Mitron shows up in the trailer when we are told they are dead, is that it's an echo cutscene and we see into the past of someone who was there, like Ardbert or one of the other WoDs. Anything can happen though since all we have is 3 seconds out of context in a teaser trailer. At this point anything we can come up with is wild conjecture and we just have to wait until Dec 8.

If he's alive now it could really just be as simple as Elidibus raising him before his defeat.

Yes but they still might have made some new ones on other shards, even some gone rouge... The good thing o the whole story with the shards, there could be really bad stuff out there, yet waiting to reach us... like more ascians, allagan like empires etc...

That, or he pulled a Gaius and just didn't die from the thing everyone thought had killed him.

EDIT: In fact, here's a really stupid thought: What if Mitron was the shoebill?
