    I like knowing the context of the fights and where I am. And seeing as quite a few of my FF friends discuss plot beats, it’s nice to indulge and keep up with a conversation instead of smiling vacantly because I have no idea what a ‘Warrior of Light’ is.

    That and cinematic trailers. I assume people who don’t bother with story skip the trailers that rarely drop. And I’d rather be able to enjoy them whilst relishing the story behind it.

    Then again, I’m not a fan of skipping cutscenes in story-driven games. I’ve never done so in RPGs and JRPGs before. Not even when I was a tiny lass.

    I said the ‘context’ behind the fights. Not knowing the mechanics. There’s a difference there.

    Your wording is confusing me. I never stated that people should care. I'm giving the reasons why I like enjoying the story of a story-driven game.
