Is healing supposed to be this...hard?

You call it babysitting, I call it doing your job. I like DPSing but you make it sound like that's your primary reason to be in the group. It's not.

If you have to resort to GCD spam healing the tank because they never use cooldowns or the dps because they go chasing aoes then it is unfortunately exactly that, babysitting. With the current battle design it is your job to keep them alive, not to fight against their binary health bar, so it's simply a fact that if you HAVE to spam heal people then they are simply not doing their job and forcing you to do it for them.
