Well just did a search and subdivisions got introduced in patch 2.4
just have a quick search for patchnotes .

And no taking houses away is not reasonable, compensation in full for a house is impossible. How do you put a value on time spent on the house? Put a value on decorating items that can no longer be used since not enough space to place.
Taking housing away from people that have legally bought them is a bad move no matter how you look at it and it would create bad publicity

The problem with this ideal is that they never should have had the time in the first place. Its ridiculously greedy to take from other people, just so you could have that much space. Its not fair to the rest of us at all. And with the going rates for houses right now, giving a full refund is more then generous

SE doesn't make a habit of revoking what players already spent time collecting in accordance with the game rules. While SE might restrict single accounts to 1 FC house per world in the future, it is unlikely to affect currently existing houses.
