The same way someone wanting to try savage 2 months after its released knows how the fights work: there's a whole ton of guides out there on the duels and what's mandatory. That way if someone manages to get in, they aren't wasting their time by dying instantly to each mechanic that requires manawall (assuming they even got that far) or in Lyon's case, dying to his enhanced damage buff 10s in because they didn't bring dispel. Even beyond that, a simple shout 'which lost actions are mandatory for -x-' would likely get a person answers without having to expend even the slightest bit of energy manually looking it up.

Duel's aren't fights people just stroll in and win going absolute blind. It's wasting the time of people who are actually prepared and serious to beat the fights, along with their own time & mettle to not do the absolute most basic preparation and read up on what's mandatory.
