Xbox Series X|S controller issues on PC (non-Steam)

How long have you been experiencing this issue? Additionally what have you tried to alleviate the issue? Is anything else plugged into the PC when this occurs?

The issue is there since the release of the new Xbox Series X|S controller, I preordered it and received it on the release date.

I have updated all the required updates; firmware driver, windows, Xbox Accessories application. The only thing that is plugged in is the usual ones, and I reckon this question is quite rhetoric.

As I have said, the issue does not present with the XB1 controller on Bluetooth. Many others have encountered this exact same issue from the reddit post that I have shared, do refer to that if you need any other infos.

When plugged in via USB my new Xbox Series X|S controller works perfectly. But over bluetooth it will drift like crazy making the game almost unplayable. It doesn't happen with my older xbox controller and my new controller works fine in all other games.

Any update yet? I'm tired of playing wired.

Not SquareEnix, obviously, but I'm fairly sure that if you pair it with the Xbox Wireless Adapter instead of via Bluetooth, it will show up as an XInput device the same as if it were wired, and FFXIV should use it correctly.

Paying an additional $30 to use the wireless controller you bought is admittedly not ideal, but...
