Do you have alts? If so, do you clear all content on them?

I'm an altaholic which I know is weird for this game. But I love variety. My FC mates think I'm crazy for having alts in a game that rewards you for doing everything on one character.

Yesterday, I grouped with a couple people in Bozja doing skirmishes and CEs, and one of them started talking about how they needed to do all this stuff again to gear up their alts. I immediately wondered about this because that seems to go against the grain in FFXIV. I also felt a kinship spirit with this person because I have three separate level 80 characters and one other close to 80, and then a few in the mid-50s range.

But I really don't do anything on those alts other than the MSQ and maybe an alliance raid or two. I level them mostly for aesthetic reasons. (I like to play as different races.) Whereas on my main, I do everything the game has to offer and make sure it's geared.

So I'm curious. Do you have alts and if so, do you also clear all the content on them? Keep them geared, have everything unlocked, etc.?

I got an alt on primal that I use to pug the savage tier and occasional attempt ultimate pugs with. It only has a couple classes that I play unlocked so gearing it isn't bad.

I have at least 7 alts. Most are cosplay type alts for the feels, but I think I tried to do two things on two toon only and it was exhausting...and it made the content boring real quick. Main is FuSoya, but I don't see myself doing the same on Kadaj, Rydia, Tellah, Aunty Entity, ect...

So its a no for me unless its just the regular msq. Nothing too much beyond that unless its 'events related.

This is pretty much me exactly. My alts are mostly just for fun and aesthetics.

I got my lala i was gifted from my wife... i wanted to play with one other char to replay story etc - that started long before we got the new game+.

I do try to clear everything but im not gonna farm much - i also am on the same server and fc as my main to make it easier...

None. The game isn't particularly alt friendly and I don't fancy doing the MSQ's all over again when there's very little payoff for the plot points that actually intrigued me.

Yes, and yes. It's a nice way to pass the time when I can't be bothered to achievements. I'm working on what is essentially my third Amaro mount.

I have one alt (a Miqo'te) who's finished the MSQ up to current, another (an Au Ra) who's near the end of Shadowbringers but I haven't found the motivation to go through the Tempest again yet, and a third (a Lalafell) sitting back in Heavensward because I kinda forgot about her.

Several. Most of mine are still struggling with the leveling grind but I've got two completely caught up with the MSQ and another done with ShB proper. Let's just say the factory glam chest is a big motivator to help me reach that goal post.

Everything? Hardly. There are things I have little interest in like PvP or (up until a few weeks ago) Savage so I can hardly claim to do everything on my main much less my alts. To answer the spirit of the question I've done things on my main that I have yet to do with my alts and that mostly boils down to lack of friends with compatible play times.
