Massive lag spikes when in instanced duty for the last two days.

It is near impossible to progress in end game fights. Half of my static are unable to play the game due to massive lag spikes on every pull. They all use comcast. I am using spectrum but i also am noticeable lag. They are reporting they only see these lag spikes in ffxiv.

What is going on?? This has happened for the past two days. Is this happening because of the hotfix? I've lost two days of raid time because of this!!!

Does the lag occur during raids and duties? Does it happen when you are not playing in a party? Additionally, if the game was not accessed during " peak hours" does the lag still occur?

I mean the spikes have been present since roughly a week before 5.3 launch sooooo.... not small but into the 100’s+ milliseconds on top of the normal running latency. Even a loss of 1-2% packets.

Hopefully they’re tamed by the time 5.4 comes out. Even with a VPN the spikes are there. Some VPN’s handle it better than others(tried them all((free/sub))).

It would be nice if this could be acknowledged at least but the JP servers are seeing nothing of the sort. GG
