    Both of these are covered by the map system. Biggest limiting factor for maps is the once per 18 hours gathering limit on Timeworn maps. If each map type had it's own time limit or if solo/group maps had separate time limits people doing daily maps would likely be quite common place.

    Not really the direction I was discussing. You could say the type of gameplay in a hard mode of a dungeon is covered by it's normal mode. Naturally you'd say well one is harder of similar content so they produce a different experience. So while you can draw some similarities it's not really what I was looking for.

    The hot and cold mini game existing in some sense like a new gathering class next to DoL, while the chocographs acting just like in FFIX as a more fixed reward system ("you get X from Y" - they're not to be random), and archelogy is not even slightly represented by the treasure system we've now. Since the archelogy was meant to be a means to enjoy some of the lore of the game while also acting as a gathering like experience. It wasn't to be opening chest system.

    So I can see the allusions to the first but the second is not related by any intent I had imagined.
