    It's okay. WoW stole most of their ideas from other games in the first place so FFXIV isn't really copying WoW. It was a bit of a joke how often WoW would add something new just for half the player base to go "finally, Game X has had that feature for 3 years".

    I wouldn't mind an open world version of Wondrous Tails, basically the challenge log but more detailed and far better rewards. A couple tiles of, do X number of fates in so & so zone, a couple tiles of harder specfic fates like world boss fates, a tile for each gatherer needing to collect X number items within a region, and a few final tiles for hunts. The challenge log has a lot of this but the rewards and general layout is just forgettable. Just some simple weekly busy work that will make venture out in the open world at least.

    I like your idea, and to be honest, sounds even better than the current Wondrous Tails we have.

    Personally, I will add more secrets (hidden treasures or lore entries for example) and one time activities linked to achievements to keep players interested in that kind of stuff entertained for a longer period of time.
