So what does it matter if I don't see your glam. Also your end quote is hypocritical. Life your life your way, but don't do this. Some people like to hurt others. It's why we have boxing matches. It's a fantasy were we can drees up in any way the game allows. It's also a place you can wear something nice or look hot without sitting in chewing gum.
I appreciate that some of the sights may offend some people. But just as names cannot hurt you pixels on a screen most certainly won't unless you invent reasons why they should.
This all falls in with if you want to live your life the way you want to, then other should be able to do likewise. As long as no one is getting hurt I should add.
Sorry I missed the part that I have nothing at all against there being a option to only view complete dress. If only you could find enough people like minded the dev's might take notice. I wish the op luck even though I don't understand their objections.

Only if they allow us to have different color schemes for non-glamoured and glamoured. You will enjoy my mismatched colors.![]()
Imagine asking for an option to disable other people's glamor in a game with glamor cash shop.

That guy's having a moment, but if you want a nuanced take on it I've seen the argument made to create a fully client side setting that dresses all players automatically according to their current job and level bracket, so that if you're looking at a level 80 PLD they'd automatically appear on your screen in the PLD AF4, or a level 65 AST would be wearing the AST AF2, and so on and so forth (unclear what this would mean for sub-50 characters, but ehn) which makes perfect sense to me from an immersion standpoint

so to further immersion, instead of having 10+ whm in different armor on screen you want 10+ dressed the exact same. despite it being equally immersion breaking from a lore standpoint.

That is a very generous interpretation of their comment. Somehow, I suspect they are much less concerned about job/level compatibility and more about... other matters. One might say they are trying to shove their political agenda down our throats in a fantasy game!

I would not use this setting personally, but I support the preferences of those who would, because having more options is always better. It also essentially doubles as an accessibility option, letting you more easily determine what members of your party or alliance are doing what and standing where. It actually used to work that exact, literal way in PvP in the before times.
Why even bring up 'from a lore standpoint'? From a lore standpoint it's literally ridiculous and setting-breaking that there are even multiple WHMs in the first place, no matter what they are or aren't wearing. The entire system falls apart in seconds if you want to look at it in a way that's universally consistent, and it's good that, since it's a video game, we don't have to.

Sorry, I just couldn't understand what "immersion breaking" meant outside of an in-world context. Because anything other than that isn't really immersion so much as personal taste. Why even bring up 'from a lore standpoint'? This troll thread should've stayed dead and buried. There is no discussion to be had here, just the same old tired arguments being repeated ad nauseam. Can't you people just live and let live?
I say, why don't we go a step further and make it so your own character is the only one showing up on screen? There, done, no more being offended by how other people look. Have fun walking around in an empty MMO.
