Measuring rest state + gatherer's grace II + food and variations of such

I spent last night questing and grinding in grade 5 nodes in Treespeak and Hala as a lvl 48 miner to find out if rest state and gatherer's grace would stack and how that worked with mining leve quest xp.

I haven't reviewed the numbers yet, but I'll post it up here after I have some coffee.

If you'd like to look at them you can see it on Velve's Lodestone blog

I have a suspicion that what I wasn't tracking is the biggest bonus for stacking rest state and gatherer's grace. I went from the start of lvl 48 to nearly the end and was in rest state the whole time. Maybe gatherer's grace extends the length of rest state? or vice versa.

Hey, I put the numbers into a spreadsheet and it looks pretty clear that both zones give roughly the same experience for a lvl 48.

Quests give more xp for the successful strike (at least in 2/3 possibilities) which increases the first part of the formula.

I can't see anything that says food stacks, but rest state and gatherer's grace II certainly stack, but it seems like they stack off of what you would have gotten for the hit without any buffs. (100 for hit, 100 for rest, 100 for grace, 100 for sweat on a regular mining point.

I wish it would have double it each time
    100 for the point x2 = 200 for rest
    200 x 2 = 400 for gatherer's grace
    400 x 2 = 800 for sweat of the brow
+3% (24 xp) for food to bring total of 824 per hit.

I think you got it, but in case that's unclear for anyone... The percentages are all added up, then applied.

    Rested exp = +50%
    Gatherer's Grace = +50%
    Sweat of Brow = +100%
    Food = +3%

If your base exp is ~100 per gather and you have all of the above effects on, it would be +203%, giving you ~303 exp.

Update: Just tested this with crafting, but I'm sure it works the same as gathering...

The rested exp bar doesn't accurately reflect the amount that your bonus should have been extended by using another source of exp bonus, but every time you gain exp, the bar jumps out further, so you are not missing out on any rested exp bonus by stacking all of these together.

If that didn't make sense, just know that all the exp bonuses do stack together appropriately, and you're not missing out on any bonus exp by choosing to stack them (or choosing not to).
