Regarding the Start of Support for macOS Big Sur (Nov. 12)

MacOS Big Sur, the latest version of macOS, was released on Nov. 12, 2020, and we are performing operation verifications with the aim of starting support for it with the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV by around the end of December.

If you use the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV, we ask that you please refrain from updating to macOS Big Sur until support for it begins.

We will let users know about when support for macOS Big Sur will begin as soon as a date has been determined.

Regarding macOS’s latest version, Big Sur, verification has been in progress for the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV with the aim of adding support around the end of December, but several issues were confirmed in the inspection process so at this point in time it will be difficult to begin support around end of December.

Verification will proceed and depending on the prospects, we will provide another update.
