    I WONDER IF SE COULD'VE DONE 3 LIVE LETTER FAN FESTS REGARDING THE NEXT EXPANSION?

    I hope that this post finds everyone healthy & well.

    Just for the sake of discussion, due to COVID & the cancellation of FAN FEST, it kind of sucks that we will have to wait til February to get any news regarding the next expansion.

    Below, I copied & pasted my response from one of threads that I answered earlier.

    I dont know if SE has all the info for the next expansion but if so, I would had like to have seen 3 LIVE LETTERS style of Fan Fests. NA FAN FEST LIVE LETTER, schedule for November, would have had the teaser trailer, basic info on the next expansion, possibly a few screen shots; JPN FAN FEST LIVE LETTER, scheduled for December, would have a updated trailer, more info on the next expansion; EU FAN FEST LIVE LETTER, scheduled for February, would have gave us the complete trailer, all the info regarding the expansion. Whatever event scheduled for May, would have a given us to pre-order the expansion & other news tidbits.

    Just something to discuss. I would have been great to get some tidbits of info before Feb. 2021

    Isn't the "Fan Fest Letter" we get sometime in February supposed to be something like a 14-hour straight broadcast?

    Yes, but I got the impression it was going to be like their normal annual 14 hour broadcast that they didn't end up doing this year as opposed to content to replace part of what we would normally get at a Fan Fest. The special live letter at the start of it sounds like it will be some sort of mini-expansion announcement.

    YoshiP had mentioned they were exploring possibly having a "digital" FanFest in May or June that would deliver the usual FanFest address and panels though no definite decisions had been made yet.

    We should have one more live letter before 5.4 is released. Hopefully they'll have more information to share about what to expect next year in place of the usual FanFest activities.
