Please make Blue Mage a normal job

It is incorrect to call so many restrictions “freedom”. By being barred from 90% of the content there is nothing you can really do other than 1 thing that awards little to nothing.

Balance is not a good argument either to keep BLU as a limited job, since balance will never be perfect and people will always try to min-max one way or another, while those who don’t care won’t care either way, you can’t change that, but you can change the class to fit.

Let us not forget that all the classes had to be changed for the sake of gameplay, you can do the same for BLU, and people who like BLU would much prefer to have a job you can use everywhere rather than what we got now.

Timegating an entire job is not the way to go after it’s been declared that BLU will not even be lvl 70 by the time Shadowbringers ends. So it fails as a solo experience because you’ll never be able to do any current content or enjoy the story solo as a Blue Mage, as there is no proper structure to support solo play.

It’s a problem that can only be solved by removing the limited job system before it ruins other jobs. If you want to create more content then make something like the Carnival for EACH job, but stuff like this shouldn't be the only option, just an additional piece.
I think people will be happy even if it takes you 1 year to make BLU playable, take your time but please reconsider its current situation, even the Japanese are unhappy.

Since my days have come to an end (my sub) on Eorzea, I wanted to make a few things clear by first addressing "limited jobs" (and other stuff like genderlocking) as I do not think it's a good direction for the game.

However, people have come up with good suggestions on how everyone can be made happy by making it so the type of content the limited jobs are allegedly supposed to deliver, do not require to be completely removed.
In fact, it was entirely possible to not throw an entire job under the bus, but could have been introduced by using the already existing classes. If the resources existed to make BLU, then they existed in adding a similar system that allowed the other jobs to play in their own content, all tailored specifically to their needs and "solo" too.

If there is a way to make everyone happy (and it exists) I don't see how people in general would even be against it in principle.
Because for those who are, just because you're fine it doesn't mean that it is fine for others.

To all my fellow Blue Mage supporters, let us hope the future will be a better one for all, so that we may reach the promised land!

To Square Enix: farewell, until the day comes when BLU will be given the respect it deserves as a class. And it may be never, but at least I'll know that my money won't fuel the future carnage that will destroy other jobs.
