Who do you think will be the main characters allies in 6.0 ?

In Shadowbringers, we have Y'sthola, Thancred, Urianger, Alphinaud, Alisaie, and 2 new characters.

If you think well on where we are heading (with all the stories in parallel to take into account maybe), what will be for you our team in 6.0 and beyond ?

There are not limit in the poll, but try to stick around the same number of characters.

I have put some characters who I think can still have a possibility to be a part of it even if it's quite low (because we don't know the outcome of some events yet).

Well first off, I'm expecting that the majority of 6.0's plot will revolve around trying to fix the sound, with Garlemald being a subplot during the first half of 6.0.

Main characters will be Alphinaud and Alisae for sure.

I expect Y'shtola and Urianger to be pretty important for fixing the source of the Sound. Urianger might sacrifice himself.

Thancred and G'raha Tia will tag along but I don't see them being at the focus of the story like they were in ShB.

Gaius may or may not be important in 6.0. Depends on whether or not he dies in the trial questline. If he makes it to 6.0 I only expect him to be relevant to the Garlemald subplot.

New Garlean characters might be added, but I don't expect them to be anymore relevant than M'naago was during 4.0 or Lyna was during 5.0.

IIRC the devs have stated that they want Estinien to join the scions. That'd be fun, but again I don't see how he'd get actual story focus. Will probably just tag along like Thancred and G'raha Tia.

I doubt they will do anything with Krile. We already have Y'shtola and Urianger as our experts on aether. She'll just stay at home and do other things.

Lyse may have a cameo during the Garlean war section. Rahubahn is more relevant than her as a faction leader and the general of the alliance. I expect he will probably get more screentime. Yugiri has more relevance than Lyse as Yugiri can actually do intel, but again I don't think either Lyse or Yugiri will get much screentime at all.

Gosetsu may or may not show up to tag along. I doubt it.

I really hope Krile will get some more screentime. Since she was added in HW she never really was involved in the story.

And please, even if we go to Garlemald, I don't want to see more of Cid. I am SO sick of him, seeing him in every second raid and trial fight plus the main story... (I am exaggerating, but only a bit).

I think we're going to get more Alphinaud and Alisae given the writing seems to favor them more and more. And I suspect Y'sthola will be given a larger role because of her growing popularity. I suspect Estinien will be given a larger role as well, but that he may also die in the coming expansion to close off his storyline.

Hope Y'shtola's plot armor ends soon . . . xD. When she had her recent scare I felt nothing because I just assumed it wouldn't matter, and was right of course moments later in the story. Doesn't have to die but just don't use her in an intense situation then cause it's pretty meaningless, imo, at this point. If she's in the situation I just know it'll be fine so 'what evs'. So hopefully something changes with her, less plot armor, her affliction actually being an affliction over what seems more like a benefit, not used in scares, something.

I don't really love the twins, but I assume they'll always be core members. It's not that I hate them, the VA are fine and dialog is fine, just their sort of appearance, position in the group, situation in general, and age... hard for me to take them seriously or feel like if I was in control of the group that we really picked the best person for the job or that it wasn't incompetent / just in general a weird choice to drag them along in such key positions (I know they're doing it willingly, but still weird)- like I'd want to hire some other in game character to solve diplomatic issues cross nations instead or something. It feels like, and they kind of are, hired because 'papa owns the company' and so my brain is like "how did you get here? do your parents know you're here?" lol "does everyone know that this kid is talking with the Emperor of the enemy? Which nation signed off on this?". It's not a hate of young main characters in general but I find it harder to take them as seriously as easily, like I was fine in Kingdom Hearts, or FFX, but I never touched Hope in FFXIII because he was presented in such a way it felt like "why am I taking this poor kid through battles, just to traumatize him? He can barely keep himself together already". While not as bad I feel the twins are more towards Hope and so I just sort of want to bench them, and not out of hate but just like "yeesh there is way too much on your shoulders and we don't even need you to be here to do this - stay in camp, I'll train you in sparring matches for later when you get older".

I like Einstein, Raubahn, and Gaius. I would totally be for physiological (/psychological) trauma and or creation magic feedback shockwaves or what have you 'shards' of Emet (like he exists solely in your head, which could be a fun sort of nagging ally and a source of internal struggle, fun way to play with what you see not being what is actually there and potential issues that creates and whether you're "getting too old for this sh..stuff"). Perhaps the scars from the last expansion (this one) combine with some new issue and so your mind is attempting to stabilize and repair and Emet (and others dead, like Ardbert and Louisoix) appear to help you during this.

(Not an 'ally') but on discussion of Emet:

I would like to also see a female Ascian enemy. Or some other major female villain (like the 'main' one). Right now it's a pretty big sausage party lol. That's not an argument from a 'need' for diversity but an argument that I just would like to see it for the potential of setting up a different sort of vibe. Would be nice if they gave her a different sort of Emet-ness in the like-ability department, perhaps also starting out as your friend and even helping you just because they wanted to (not ulterior motive) but when your paths diverge they just diverge as is natural (I enjoy when 'bad guys' are not exclusively viewed through one single lens as 'bad guy' (like Zenos is currently lol), even if ultimately they are still the antagonist) and not out of some special betrayal. Needs to also be slick with words of course :3.

If there are any characters who will definitely be in 6.0, it's the twins and G'raha. Many players will shed many tears if they are left without those even for a while. Perhaps there will be some new characters.
If we talk about who I would like to see - definitely not twins. There are characters that, having been introduced, have not been practically used in any significant way. For example, characters like Krile or Unukalhai ... I would like the writers to remember their existence.

It's too hard to say with any certainty... but it really depends a lot on where the story takes us.

If we're taking the fight to Garlemald, it's easy to say that we'll be seeing a LOT more of Estinien and Gauis. The only safe bet vote on that list is "New Character" since literally every expansion brought us new teammates to play with, some more than one if you hadn't played certain jobs or done certain fights. Ysayle was our new one for Heavensward, and Estinien if you weren't a dragoon. Gosetsu for Stormblood, and Ryne for Shadowbringers. So there will undoubtedly be someone new for the next expansion, possibly someone we'll be introduced do in 5.4 or 5.5

The twins are basically the main characters of the game (the WoL is a blank slate player insert, almost more a plot device than a character), so of course they're sticking around. And it's too obvious that G'raha Tia is coming with us next.

I'd like to see some of the secondary Scions get some time in the limelight. Krile, Hoary and Ocher Boulder, Coultenet, Riol, and the gang. But, more than likely, it'll be the Archons again.
