    Besides limiting raise(you try rezzing with BLU?), and giving most casters a terrible recovery time after death? I mean there are other ways to do the first one, the second one was fixed for melee when TP was removed outright. The only obvious thing, i see, is that like TP which got removed, MP is now a stable resource set at a stable amount that does not grow or vary no matter which job is using it. Hence, why i call it Caster's TP,

    You can't know its never going away. What are these reason it'll "never going to disappear"? People thought TP was a core mechanic of the game and wasnt going to be removed and yet MP functions nearly identically.

    Far from it, TP was constantly causing problems in long fights from day one while MP has for the most part never caused issues. You could be doing everything correctly and you would end up running out of TP at no fault of your own if a fight went long enough. Many skill additions and changes from ARR to StB were done to fix regularly occurring and reoccurring problems with TP. MP has never come off as an obstruction to play as compared to TP.

    So you dont remember red Mage MP issues? Or AST with shield stance...

    I said "for the most part." Both of those were mostly fixed by MP cost adjustments rather than being systemic problems that necessitated changes in fight and job design.

    MP should stick around to force non-BLM casters/healers to think about their spell usage.

    Removing it would just dumb-down gameplay once again. (See, I can use that excuse too!)

    But it doesn't do that. It only serves as a rezz punishment. Cure 1, Benefic 1 are normally rarely used after getting cure 2 or benefic 2. Caster literally have no MP choices. It literally would make for smarter gameplay to remove MP and gate rezs to charges. Cure 1 and benefic 1 are only on my bar because I could get sycn to lose cure 2 and benefic 2.

    MP is not going away.

    TP was only really ever used by Sprint and Physical AoEs, basic weaponskill combos cost less than you generated TP. So as a whole, it barely served a purpose... However, I thought when they were getting rid of TP, most of those AoEs would move to costing MP rather than being completely cost free though...
