Have they removed more gold saucer GATES?

I haven’t seen a single of the non-instanced jump puzzles since the make it rain campaign started. I’m talking about the ones in the actual Gold Saucer zone in the two rooms with the towers in the middle. What happened to these? Have they removed them?


The ONLY gates I have seen since this event started are Slice is right, any way the wind blows, leap of faith, and Air Force one and I’ve probably done 50 by now

Cliff Hangers still shows up from time to time in those squares, they're just exceptionally rare. Especially the one around the cactuar statue. Vase Off was removed back in 2018 because no one did it and I imagine they're prioritizing the other gates over Cliff Hangers because I want to say they give you more money? Or at least I can't even remember getting a lot of money from those two gates.

I kind of miss Vase Off. It was really easy (once you knew how) and paid well.
The dancing one I'd usually skip - even easier, but it took like 5 minutes.
I do not mourn the loss of the one where you looked for the guy who looked *exactly* like the imp. That one, I'd just immediately finger the first suspect and move on.

I'd prefer the Cliffhangers show up at least as frequently as the Leap of Faiths and Airforce. I almost never see them any more. It's still my biggest gripe that the whole point of the Gold Saucer is to seemingly kill time (especially waiting for queues/parties to fill), but they keep pushing for GATEs that require you to queue up for instances, making me less likely to even bother so not to lose my spot in DF queues. At least with the Cliffhangers you can participate in them without having to leave your spot in the DF.

I still think that GATEs need to happen every 10 minutes rather than 20. I don't quite see why they're reluctant to allow GATEs to occur that frequently; the Saucer comes off as boring the rest of the time anyway. Yes, that would make some GATEs possibly occur back-to-back, but I don't find that to be a problem unless the intent is to intentionally slow the acquisition of MGP. If it's an instance reservation thing, then just use Cliffhangers as the filler GATEs between those.
