Cannot finish ARR MSQs due to raids

The equivalent would be having to do Classic raids to reach Burning Crusade content and then have to do BC raids to reach Lich King content all the while you're way over-leveled and outgeared.

It's just mind boggling. I enjoy the story but not enough to slog through old raids just to get to new content. Sitting in queue for 25 minutes as a tank and still not filling. It's miserable.

No, This game has a very different view on Raids from classic/vanilla WoW. Most Raids in this game are just dungeons with more people. They put these raid at the end of ARR, which is appropriate. You just "slogged" through old content to get there. If you don't like the content, you probably won't be too thrilled with the rest of the game. It is often quicker to do these raids on DPS or Healer.
