The more they release at a time, the harder it would be to balance them all though... I don't mind a slow, controlled release of classes.... as long as they are all done right, and are all usefulHell, I bet you can expect 2, no more than 3, classes released per major expansion, no matter ho much we wanted it.
Why? Cause SE knows we like waiting. that is why I focus all my attention on leveling crafting classes, cause when the storm hits and we'll need new weapons, this blacksmith will be ready with my overpriced multislotted materia weapons. =D
SE better release musketeer and arcanist with their corresponding jobs, before thinking of adding any other classes/jobs. when 2.0 finally comes around they can say that all orginal classes can be played. this will also prove SOMEWHAT the game is fixed, that the two classes that never made it out of the gate are playable now thus showing the class/job system is balanced. rather then releasing 2.0 without them and ppl saying "damn SE has been trying to fix the game and cant even manage to make the these classes work after all this time!"
My fear is that all of my hopes and dreams for 2.0, as well as the “wouldn’t it be cool if” forum chatter will all add up to something that 2.0 can never live up to.
Already there is a huge divide between the “2.0 is just server/ui changes” and the “2.0 is almost a whole new game” crowd and the former group will probably be happy with 2.0 and the latter will not.
Now that I think about it... that is pretty damn fearful right there...
By definition, will 2.0 just be fixing all the junky UI and fix the laggy servers? Or is it supposed to be our messiah in the desert, bring us gifts of water and shade.
Why be so nega-frits? Let's be posi-syphs!
Well you just get rejected on your first attempt at a date in 7 years. ; ;
But on related matter! The more sorrow we create, the better we can drown out the hype.
Like for instance, Redmage dreams, no one said a thing about redmage being added yet, but now, we got people dreaming and hoping. When we get announced what classes will be added in the near future, I can imagine a a wave of sorrow that would overpower any strong minded fanboy~
But of course, if it does get add on the list, happyness for all, except for those who were rooting for other classes. So its better to down play the hype, live with in sadness.
Come to the darkside~ We have sorrow.
Why would you tell random soulless forum "people" something like that...Well you just get rejected on your first attempt at a date in 7 years. ; ;

I have high expectations for 2.0 including:
real alliance endgame content that has longevity and real progression (much better than the current offerings, where progression is measured by kills and not just date/time of day of kills like Garuda or speed runs)
new and impressive maps
better response times
I'll be disappointed if this stuff isn't here, but I'm going to continue to expect it because... well they promised to deliver it and I'm not in the habit of paying subscriptions to development companies I have no faith whatsoever in delivering on those promises. If I was I'd still be playing Vanguard.
