It's to build a cushion for us to fall back on when 2.0 finally does hit. Merely predictions and speculation, nothing more.

Only difference you may see is that the focus is predicting bad things that will not happen. The problem with the "What do you want to see in 2.0!!!" threads is that they tend to overhype. I am trying to underhype it so much, that when 2.0 comes out, we will all be amazed and bewildered!

Of course, this can backfire if dev take our comments and concerns way too seriously, but I believe they can use this as a "Don't do this to us bro!" kind of list.
